13% increase in turnover of life insurance

Life insurance has reported a turnover of 103.6 billion ZAR (13.6 billion USD) in 2007, that is, a 13% increase in comparison with 2006. This performance illustrates the new attractiveness of life insurance in South Africa. The new business for 2007 amount to 57.2 billion ZAR (7.5 billion USD) against 50.2 billion ZAR (6.6 billion USD) in 2006, that is, a 14% rise in comparison with 2006.
