A particularly deadly monsoon season

From June to September 2017, Asian countries sustained a particularly intense monsoon season. Floods whose scale is unprecedented have triggered particularly substantial damage.
Floods in India

India, Nepal and Bangladesh are the hardest hit by those storms.
On the human side, floods have claimed the lives of at least 1 400 people while thousands became homeless. Entire neighborhoods are still submerged by water. Compared to economic losses, the insured losses would be insignificant because of the poor insurance penetration rate in the region.
