Allianz acquires an 8% stake in Africa Re
Allianz acquired, on May 29, 2018, 8% of the African reinsurer Africa Re. This transaction, worth 80 million USD, aims at reinforcing the German giant's presence on the African market.
It makes Allianz, one of the largest shareholders of Africa Re, with the African Development Bank AfDB (8%) and Axa (7.15%).
