Allianz will have its «Arena» for at least 25 years

The German insurer Allianz has obtained exclusive rights over the granting of its name to the stadium that will host the opening 2006 World Cup match for a period of 25 years. Located in Munich, the new stadium will be named Allianz Arena. The company will proceed to the payment of 1.5 million EUR (1.8 million USD) per year and up to 4.5 million EUR (5.5 million USD) given the number of times when its name is mentioned in the media that is, a total of about 120 million EUR (143 million USD) for the whole period.
