AXA seeks authorization to operate in the Algerian territory

The French group has applied to the Ministry of Finance for a license to operate on the Algerian territory. Wholly controlled by the parent company, AXA Algérie, due to start operating at the beginning of the year 2009, will be run by Adlène Meslem.
AXA, which places this establishment within the framework of long-term investment, plans on conducting operations in partnership with the local distributors, namely banking networks.
