Axa willing to focus on its profitable markets

Axa has announced a large internal restructuring plan. Initiated by Thomas Buberl, CEO of the group since mid-2016, this program aims to simplify the organization of the company.

The French insurer, already present in 64 countries, has expressed its intention to withdraw from several unprofitable regions and focus on the ten largest markets that provide 80% of its revenues, namely the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Japan.

This procedure will involve the cut of 300 posts in Paris, Madrid and Hong Kong, as well as major changes in the group's management committees.
