Boeing sued for the Ethiopian Airlines crash in Beirut

Many victims' relatives have pressed charges in the United States against Boeing followingthe crash of January 25, 2010 on the coast of Beirut. This move has been recommended by an American law firm who visited the relatives of the victims in Lebanon and in Ethiopia, right after the crash.

The firm believes that a simple human error on part of the pilot cannot be the only cause of the catastrophe and that a serious mechanical failure, a maintenance problem or a faulty design are the causes of the crash.

The lawyers also criticized the proposed amount of 20 000 USD of compensation per passenger and would do their utmost to obtain more than 1 million USD per victim. This air disaster claimed the lives of 90 people.
