China becomes the third largest insurance market

With an average annual growth rate of 13.4% over the past five years, the Chinese insurance market achieved a turnover of 2.4 trillion CNY (369.86 billion USD) and a profit of 282.4 billion CNY (43.52 billion USD) in 2015. In 2015, this market rose from the sixth place in 2010 to the third worldwide.

China is continuing to drive global insurance growth. It, alone, contributes to 26% of the insurance development in 2015.

Total assets, which went from 5 trillion CNY (758.51 billion USD) in 2010 to 12 trillion CNY (1849.33 billion USD) in 2015 is another indicator of the China insurance growth.
