Consolidation of the Saudi insurance market

Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance and Al Ahlia for Cooperative Insurance are in talks for a future merger.

Both Saudi insurers, having started this process in March 2017, appointed Saudi Kuwait Finance House as financial consultant in charge of duly conducting the operation.

The rapprochement, encouraged by supervisory authorities, shall culminate in the establishment of a more powerful and competitive entity.
