Continental Re is expanding in Africa

Continental Re is preparing to increase its capital, an announcement made at the 27th general meeting of the company held in early September in Lagos.

This transaction will enable the Nigerian reinsurer to pursue its development on the continent.
The company which has recently opened its Tunis office in charge of North Africa, has also obtained license to establish a branch in Gaborone (Botswana) where it will manage underwriting in the southern cone of Africa.

These guidelines follow a good 2013 year during which Continental Re has generated pre-tax profit of 2.23 billion NGN (14 million USD).
