Continental Re, 2017 results: turnover and net profit

Continental Re, achieved at the end of 2017, a turnover of 29.67 billion NGN (83.25 million USD), up by 32% compared to the 22.41 billion NGN (73.95 million USD) of 2016.

The Nigerian reinsurer's net profit fell by 21% from 3.12 billion NGN (10.29 million USD) in 2016 to 2.47 billion NGN (6.93 million USD) one year later.

This decline is accounted for by the depreciation of the local currencies and by an unfavorable economic environment.
The company's assets grew by 7% at 43.13 billion NGN (121 million USD).
