Driverless cars seen at Gatwick airport

A partnership has been brokered between XL Catlin, Irish insurer specialized in corporate risks and Oxbotica, a start-up developing software for autonomous cars. This agreement makes it possible for the insurer to monitor a project designed to test driverless automobiles in the London airport of Gatwick, one of the first terminals in the world to be outfitted with autonomous cars on the runways.

Should this project come to fruition, staff transport between the different terminals of the airport will be carried out by driverless cars.
