European insurers obtain license

Iranian authorities have granted license to two European insurers, authorized to open a liaison office in the country. Following the Geneva accords signed in late November between the Islamic republic and the group of six countries: USA, Russia, China, Germany, France, Great Britain, many insurers are showing a growing interest in a market endowed with 25 local insurers.

President Hassan Rouhani said that the administration is willing to assist all foreign companies by facilitating their access to the market. Several delegations of businessmen members of European countries have, since then, made the trip to Tehran.
