Golden Comar Awards 2017

The winners of the 21st Golden Comar Prize were unveiled on Saturday 22 April 2017, during the literary evening organized by Assurances COMAR, in Palais des Congrès (Tunis) to reward the best Tunisian novels written in Arabic and French languages.

The Golden Comar prize went to the following novels:

  • "Jihadon Naêm" by Mohamed Aissa Meddeb (Publisher: Zeïneb)
  • "Passe l’Intrus" by Bechir Garbouj (Publisher: Déméter)
  • "L'Amas Ardent" by Yamen Manaï (Publisher: Elyzad)

The Special Prize of the Jury was awarded to:

  • "Sifrou al-qalb" by Amina Zrik (Publisher: Zeïneb)
  • "Le Chant des ruelles obscures" by Ahmad Mahfoudh (Publisher : Arabesques)
  • "Il pleut des avions" by Gilbert Naccache (Publisher: Chama)

The Discovery Prize went to:

  • "Hamdan wa-azzamen" by Habib Ben Mehrez (Publisher: Afek)
  • "Rupture (s)" by Jamila Ben Mustapha (Publisher: Demeter)

The Special Prize of the French Institute of Tunisia (IFT), a new award launched this year, granting a contribution for the translation into Arabic of a winning French novel rewarded "C’était hier à Tunis : Mardochée se souvient" by Paul Zeitoun (edition: Anfortas).
