Heavy bill for Morocco floods

The latest floods that lashed Southern Morocco in late November to early December 2014 have claimed the lives of 47 persons and caused nearly 1 billion MAD (111.03 million USD) in damages caused to the road infrastructure.

Thousands of kilometers of roads and 500 bridges were affected by this disaster.
These floods raise the issue of natural catastrophe insurance risks again in a country subject to recurrent torrential rains.
