Heavy tool for the July floods

The heavy downpour that has washed a large area of Africa since last July caused devastating floods in 18 countries. The toll is alarming: 300 casualties, over a million people affected, 650 000 of whom remained homeless, entire villages submerged, crops and food stocks destroyed and drinking water sources contaminated. According to meteorologists, this major natural disaster is accounted for by global warming, namely the climatic phenomenon “La Nina”
