Hurricane Andrew would cost 60 billion USD to insurers

According to a study conducted by Swiss Re, the occurrence of an event as important as Hurricane Andrew, which devastated the United States in 1992, would cost nowadays between 80 and 100 billion USD.

The amount to be borne by the insurers, for this claim alone, would be set between 50 and 60 billion USD.
