Important damages caused by bad weather in the south of France

The insured losses caused by storms that affected the south of France during the second half of September are estimated at over 320 million EUR (406 million USD). The departments of Aveyron and Hérault were particularly affected. Five people lost their lives.

The state of natural catastrophe has been declared in some parts of the doomed countries in the days of 29 and 30 September. The amount of claims entering within the scope of the natural catastrophe scheme, managed by CCR would be comprised between 100 and 200 million EUR (126.8 and 253.7 million USD).
