Increase in TPL motor rates

Kuwaiti insurance companies putting pressure on authorities to increase the third party liability premiums by 400%. For insurers, tariffs which have remained unchanged since 1961 should rise from the current 20 KWD (66 USD) to 100 KWD (332 USD).

The results of insurance companies are impacted by poor motor performance. At the end of 2016, technical results decreased by 40%, while motor incurred losses increased by 60% in the last six months.
