Insured appreciate quick compensation centers

Wafa Assurance and Saham Assurance were the first two companies to open fastcompensation motor claims centers in late 2010 and early 2011.

Currently, there are six companies offering this service which is meeting a great success with policyholders.

According to statistics, 35% to 40% of claims affecting the motor business are solved through such a procedure.

The six insurers promise the settlement of claims after a delay of 30 minutes to 2 hours and a half following the claim filing.

The complaint file must still meet three criteria: the claim must be for an amount of less than 20 000 MAD (2 115 USD), the damage must be visible and only material and finally the vehicle must be in working order.

In the overwhelming majority of cases, the proposed compensation is accepted by policyholders. The success of this service has encouraged users to report all claims, which has deteriorated the loss ratio that increased from 20% to 30% in five years against a 10% increase in premiums.
Insurers have responded by increasing deductibles at 2 500 MAD (265 USD).
