Insurers are increasingly investing in the AssurTech

According to the consultancy firm Accenture, insurers have heavily invested in young enterprises that provide innovative insurance or brokerage services.

These start-ups, well-known under the label AssurTech, account for 44% of the total investments in 2016 for the amount of 711 million USD, compared to just 10% in 2015.

Insurers favor three areas of intervention namely Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).
