Introduction of compulsory motor third party liability

The Zambian government has made motor third party liability insurance compulsory. This measure is designed to reduce accidents whereby faulty drivers run away for insurance gap. The new law makes it possible to strengthen the protection of citizens by providing them with compensation for medical expenses, emergency care services and other costs incurred upon the occurrence of such events.
