Kenyan insurers go digital

Kenyan insurers are getting fonder of digital technology, designing insurance products that are better adapted to consumers’ new needs. This trend is all the more interesting as 30 million people now have access to internet in Kenya.

This new approach makes it possible to reduce service costs, improve competitiveness, insure proximity to customers, thus increasing insurance penetration rate.

It is noteworthy that the 2016-2020 strategic plan, elaborated by the Association of Kenyan Insurers (AKI) aims at doubling penetration rate to reach 6%.
