Michael Jackson’s death would be very costly

Was the king of pop, Michael Jackson, insurable? That is the question which is on the lips of all experts on the London market. The London tour sponsor, AEG Live, was scrambling around to finalize an insurance cover for the 50 concerts scheduled, that is, 300 million GBP (497 million USD). Only Lloyd's accepted to cover the first ten concerts for the sums of 82 million GBP (136 million USD).

Before the deal was concluded, insurers had required a thorough medical test to be carried out by the artist, with the check-up being scheduled on June 26, that is, one day after the star's death .
