New bill for motor insurance

More than 3 000 Kenyans die every year on the roads. Kenya is considered as one of the countries where driving is the least safe. A draft law provides for the payment of a 3 million KES (34 500 USD) compensation for each victim of a road crash.

The ratification of this project by the President of the republic is necessary before its implementation. Meanwhile, the chase of bad drivers is in full swing, with the police firmly intent on withdrawing driving licenses of wreckless motorists, a measure long awaited and required by transportation professionals.
