New regulations to fight against uninsured cars

The Saudi Ministry of Health (MoH) has reported that uninsured at-fault drivers will from now on be required to pay hospital and medical expenses incurred by third parties.

This new law is even more important since 55% of Saudi citizens are circulating without insurance.

It should be noted that the General Directorate of Traffic counts on average 23 deaths and 102 injuries per day. As for material damage caused by road accidents, they are estimated at 20 billion SAR (5.3 billion USD) per year.
