Old Mutual opened a new life entity in Botswana

Old Mutual is opening a life branch in Botswana. Named Old Mutual Botswana Life Insurance Company, the new entity, which will be chaired by Thebe Modikwa, will enable the group to consolidate its presence in the southern part of Africa.

Old Mutual has already been present in Botswana in the non life class of business since 1994. Today, the country totals eight life insurance companies, with the first two, alone, accounting for 87.5% of the market underwritings.
