Premium collection and fraud, two issues insurers have to take account of

According to a recent study, nearly 30% of the claims reported would be of fraudulent origin. In an effort to counter this ever-growing scourge, insurers are designing a system for information exchange.

Meanwhile, economic hardships render premium collection even harder even though non life insurers are offering tariff terms that are quite interesting. Competition, however, is rather unfair, distancing premiums away from the technical levels required, thus compromising the quality of the protection provided to policyholders. By June 2016, the sector’s turnover dwindled down by 6.6% in comparison with 2015.
