Road accidents in the Middle East claim the lives of 3 000 people per month

According to the Arab Organization of Road Safety, road accidents in the Middle East claim the lives of 3,000 victims per month, a human tragedy that should concern all regional institutions, especially insurance companies that are called upon to play a key role in order to prevent this scourge. France, which took actions reducing the number of road accidents-related deaths from 12,000 in 1980 to 5,700 in 2004, is the example to follow.
According to the World Health Organization, the third cause behind decease in 2020 will be attributed to road accident-related deaths.
