Morocco: Sanlam detains henceforth 46.6% of SAHAM Finances

The South African insurer Sanlam has increased its stake in the capital of the Moroccan group SAHAM Finances which went from 30% to 46.6%. Thanks to this operation, these two conglomerates, already present in 39 countries, aim at extending their presence on the African continent.

The transaction worth 329 million USD would be finalised during the second quarter of 2017.

It should be noted that SAHAM Finances achieved a turnover of more than 1 billion USD in 2015.
