Saudization of the insurance Industry

The insurance supervisory authority SAMA has recently issued, with effect from 2 July 2017, a directive on market saudization. Insurance companies are required to hire Saudi nationals for administrative and customer service positions.

In some insurance companies, Saudis already account for 80% of the staff in these departments.
Once this directive is implemented, the authorities will tackle the saudization of technical posts.
