Scor purchases part of Aegon's life reinsurance activity

The Dutch insurer Aegon has ceded to Scor a portion of its shareholding in Transamerica Re, an American subsidiary specialized in life reinsurance.

The transaction, standing for nearly half of Aegon’s life reinsurance operations in the United States, amounts to 750 million USD. In 2011, French reinsurer had already purchased a stake in Transamerica’s capital.
