Start of compulsory motor third party liability insurance in Liberia

The ministry of transport has announced that more than 30 000 vehicles have been insured under the third party liability coverage since this plan was remade mandatory at the beginning of the year.

The Liberian authorities consider this figure as a success. This requirement is not new, though, since it was introduced in 1972 and again in 1978 before falling into oblivion.
