Tavaziva Madzinga joined Swiss Re

Tavaziva Madzinga has joined the Swiss reinsurer as head of the Middle East and Africa operations. He takes over from Frank O'Neill, who was appointed CEO of operations in the UK and Ireland.

The Zimbabwean Tavaziva Madzinga has a degree in actuarial sciences from the University of Cape Town (South Africa).
He also studied at INSEAD Business School in France and Harvard University in the United States.

Before joining Swiss Re team T. Madzinga spent the last sixteen years in the South African group Old Mutual, where he held several senior positions including that of CEO for the Southern and Eastern African region and CEO of Old Mutual Kenya. This appointment will take effect in November 2016.
