The African reinsurance market continues to attract investors

According to A. M. Best, the African reinsurance market has not lost its attractiveness.
Despite the political and economic problems prevailing on the continent, the region continues to be appealing to investors.

Low penetration rates, evolving regulatory frameworks and the renewed growth are the main assets of the region.

According to the rating agency, the marks of interest to the continent should result in an increase in mergers and acquisitions. A. M. Best, however, points out that the persistence of socio-economic instability in the medium and long term could affect the rating of reinsurers in the region.
