The group SUNU continues its developmental effort in Africa

Set at 99.17 billion FCFA (165.2 million USD), the SUNU Group’s turnover increased by 7% in 2015. The life business, which managed to reap 71.22 billion FCFA (118.6 million USD), accounts for 72% of the overall premium volume versus 27.95 billion USD (46.6 million USD) for the non life class of buisness, that is 28% of the group’s entire insurance operations. The group’s net result has dwindled down by 32.86%, going from 7.094 billion FCFA (13 million USD) by the end of 2014 down to 4.763 billion FCFA (7.9 million USD) in 2015.

SUNU, which detains 23 subsidiaries and affiliated companies on the African continent, is pursuing the adjustment of its life and non life operations. The latter shifted in one year from 25% in 2014 to 28% in 2015. With 51.7% of global turnover, Côte d’Ivoire stands as the group’s number one market, followed by Cameroon (8.9%), Senegal (8.78%) and Niger (8.69%).
