The Lloyd's filed a reinsurance licence in Malaysia

The Lloyd's is currently in talks with the Malaysian regulatory authorities for the opening of a subsidiary.

This implementation is part of a development project in emerging countries. It should enable the Lloyd's to benefit from the growth of the Malaysian market and sell, among other things, reinsurance products in the marine transportation (marine cargo??) , energy, construction, engineering and third party liability classes of business.

"If the Bank Negara Malaysia approves of this request in the next two months, the first operations will begin in the first quarter of 2017," says John Nelson, Chairman of the Lloyd's of London.
