According to JP Morgan, the New Zealander earthquake is going to cost insurers and reinsurers 4.3 billion USD. The simple risks have been mainly affected. This claim might trigger losses of 300 million USD for Swiss Re, 500 million USD for Munich Re and 100 million USD for Hannover Re and Scor. Allianz and Zurich will only be moderately affected.
