Alaa El-Zoheiry named AIO President

Alaa El-Zoheiry, Chairman of the Egyptian Insurance Federation (IFE), has been elected President of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) for the 2026-2027 term, succeeding Yared Mola, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nyala Insurance in Ethiopia.

The appointment was announced during the opening ceremony of the 52^nd AIO Conference and General Assembly, held in Cairo, Egypt, from 5 to 9 June 2026.

Mr. El-Zoheiry also serves as Managing Director of GIG Egypt, the Egyptian subsidiary of Gulf Insurance Group (GIG).
