Almerys, a French third-party payment management provider for supplemental health insurance, has fallen victim to a cyberattack.
Hackers gained access to the coverage authorization portal (PEC), used by healthcare professionals and facilities to process certain claims related to optical care, audiology, dental treatment, and hospitalization.
The compromised data includes personal information such as names, dates of birth, social security numbers, and health insurance policy details.
However, banking information, medical data, healthcare reimbursement records, passwords, email and postal addresses, and phone numbers were not affected by the breach.
Almerys had already been targeted by a similar cyberattack in February 2024.
