Anti-fraud insurance campaign in Saudi Arabia

In collaboration with local insurers, the Media and Insurance Awareness Committee has launched a fraud-awareness campaign.

The campaign aims to develop transparency and draws the attention of policyholders to the risks involved in the event of forgery of documents.

Many cases of insurance fraud have been reported in Saudi Arabia. Tampering relate in particular to insurance certificates provided by companies and insurance agents.

The Saudi law punishes insurance fraud by imprisonment of 1 to 5 years and a fine of 400 000 SAR (106 000USD).
