APA Insurance posts a profit of 3.6 million USD in 2012

Despite an exceptional provision of 229.8 million KES (2.7 million USD), APA Insurance has reported a pre-tax profit of 309 million KES (3.6 million USD) in 2012. Written premiums amounted to 5.95 billion KES (69.5 million USD). The technical result has risen from 5.2 million KES (62 192 USD) in 2011 to 36.9 million KES (430 992 USD) in 2012. The operations conducted by the subsidiaries were crucial, allowing APA Insurance to underwrite many governmental risks and to consolidate the presence of the insurer on the market.
