Axis Capital authorized to carry out insurance operation in Dubai

The Dubai Financial Department has granted license to Axis Re. This opening shall enable the Irish group to set up a subsidiary in Dubai International Financial Center.

The new office will focus on the marketing of health and accident insurance plans. Axis Re will be underwriting policies on the African and Middle Eastern markets. All of the group’s subsidiaries benefit from an A+ rating granted by Standard & Poor’s and by AM Best.
