In July 2016, the holding Beige Group (TBG), specialized in finance departments, expressed its interest in the acquisition of Unique Life Assurance Company (U-Life). The takeover move which required authorization from supervisory authorities is now finalized. The amount of the transaction has, however, not been disclosed.
In order to carry out the transaction properly, TBG had, nonetheless, to pay off some of U-Life’s outstanding claims worth 1.3 million GHS (307 000 USD). The company has also launched a restructuring plan for U-Life in an effort to consolidate the group’s efficacy.
