The Nigerian reinsurer opened a regional office in Abidjan on March 19, 2012. This new establishment is designed to cover Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Guinea, Togo, Benin and Mauritania. It is Hervé Allou, former Continental Re Douala, who is running the office.
