Covid-19: extension of the health pass

The European health pass came into force on 1 July 2021. It has been implemented in the 27 countries of the European Union as well as in Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway and Switzerland.

In France, the health pass became mandatory on 21 July. It allows access to cultural and leisure facilities for more than 50 people. As of 9 August 2021, the pass is required for people over 18 to enter cafés, bars, restaurants, public transport, department stores, shopping centers and trade shows. The pass is also mandatory for visitors or patients in health care facilities and retirement homes.

Meanwhile, in addition to the above measures, Italy will impose the pass on passengers on domestic flights, long-distance trains, ferries, teachers, school and university staff and university students starting 1 September 2021.
