East African insurers in favor of a regional supervisory body

The goal of the initiative is to create a single supervisory body for insurance companies. The governments of the countries concerned shall examine draft laws intended to bring regulations closer.

A first agreement, already reached, targeted some international groups whose oversight terms were approved: composition of boards of directors, management competence and capital analysis.
