East African insurers in search of harmonization

Regulatory authorities in East African countries have asked a consultancy firm to harmonize the legislation governing the insurance business. According to this mandate, East African insurers will be dotted with a large unique market. This huge undertaking turned out to be even more challenging due to the different economic situations of the countries targeted, in addition to Burundi whose practices are based on the French legislative framework.
