Egypt to produce Russia's Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19

Egypt will produce 40 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine annually by the third quarter of 2021. This production will be distributed worldwide.

An agreement has been signed between the Egyptian pharmaceutical company Minapharm and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). The agreement allows for technology transfer and enables production of the vaccine at Minapharm's biotechnology facilities in Cairo.
