The establishment of several new Takaful insurance companies

The Syrian authorities have given the green light for the establishment of several new Takaful insurance companies among which the companies with Kuwaiti-owned capital: Al-Oqaila and Nour. Other companies like Syrian Islamic Company and Aman Insurance Company have also been granted license.
According to Syrian regulation, companies have a six-month period starting from license delivery to start their insurance operations.
The combined capital of four new companies amounts to 120 million USD. Eleven companies are already operating in Syria.
